Walt Larson Fiction |
|
During the lean years of the late 1930's Walt Larson entered the world on the Tlingit Indian reservation in Hoonah Alaska. When the spring thaw had melted the snow back into the trees, they moved to a white man's fishing village called Elfin Cove. As the child of a Tlingit mother and Swede-Finn father, it became his fortune to endure prejudice from both ethnic groups. He lost himself in a world of blame, isolation, and self-justification. After trying hell for a while, he found his real enemy dwelt within and he began moving on to a better place. The solution to his problems lay in his heart and it was only there he would find them. His tales of adventure and romance come from a colorful past that survived agonies of despair and soul-devouring self-pity. Before his passing in 2005, he wrote several novels. Walt lived his later years retired from the sea, and taking great pleasure in watching his dreams come true. He surrounded himself with treasured friends and family as he created his tales drawn from his own life experience. By This Author |
