Some of us love books so much that we don't mind when they're a little beat up... in fact, we kind of like rescuing these second-hand or world-traveling tomes. Here at Orchard House Press, we ask our vendors not to strip returns. That means, we pay to have unsold books returned to be instead of just having them thrown away, the covers stripped off and returned for credit (yeah, we think that's gross, too). If you'd like to pick up a $18.99 book for $5.00 or a complete set for the price of a single volume, look on the right-hand of a book's detail page for the Buy This Book Used button. The steep discount will be listed right there before you even add the book to your cart. Your used book will arrive nicked, scuffed or otherwise in need of a good home -- and completely intact and ready to be loved.
