Bonnassette has managed to ruffle one cock feather too many in her first year as a teacher of Classics at a Quebec university. An effort to dismiss her begins when her in-costume recital of the lost poetry of Sappho and her stage production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" become a bit too risqué for the sensibilities of the Catholic faculty. Bonita's ability to dunk the baseball coach at a campus spring carnivale leads her pitching at the annual grudge match between the faculty men's and women's baseball teams. Bonita's supersonic display on the mound leaves the student body roaring and the male faculty dazed and resentful. When Bonita allows some of her hapless coeds to stay at her cottage the administration resolves to paint her with a scarlet letter. She is publicly denounced as a witch during commencement. Scandal follows her everywhere and she seeks seclusion with a Wicca coven celebrating the summer solstice in the Laurentian Mountains. There she must make a critical life-or-death decision that threatens to reveal her true nature--a truth she has been hiding from the world. With her new life unraveling, she must finally face her past and accept the fate she has been running away from for a VERY long time. By This Author I, Bonita I, Bonita, Book 1: Big Witch on Campus |
