Thirty-five-thousand years after a human genetic sample was collected during Earth's Ice Age and deposited on Herror, the resulting humans' world is poised to fall before an invasion by the Galactic Hegemony commanded by the enigmatic Warlord Djan Mogun. Leading the faltering resistance is Tal Laver, a genetically altered "Prime" who possesses special physical and mental powers. Opposing him, is his traitorous brother Tal Brahk, whose fifth column, the "Rational Front" is cooperating with the invaders to overthrow the established order. In order to save humanity, Tal Laver must escape from Herror aboard a Teel starship with a odd collection of confederates including Utra-1027, a genetically enhanced voluptuous gynoid; Droav, a gentle giant from world with stronger gravity, which has given him immense strength; and Inf Harlyn an irritating, foul-mouthed winged fairy who can only fly on his native low-gravity moon. Their destination is the fabled "Mother World" from which humanity originated. To vex them, Lord Mogun sends Tal Brahk ahead in a trans-light craft that will arrive centuries before Tal Brahk. Aboard his gigantic flagship, the Tan-Tsen-Rue, Lord Mogun keeps a much larger secret that will challenge the leadership of the Galactic Hegemony. All the others are pawns in a much greater scheme. Think "Star Wars" meets "Space Balls." By This Author The Prime Lords Prime Lords, Book 1: Rave New World |
