Dr. George S. Roth was associated with the National Institute on Aging for over thirty years. He served as Chief of the Molecular Physiology and Genetics Section, Acting Chief of the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology and was a Senior Guest Scientist after retiring in 2000. He is currently CEO of GeroScience Inc., a new biotechnology company devoted to anti-aging strategies, and is a former co-Executive Director of the American Aging Association.


Dr. Roth has been an active researcher of basic mechanisms of aging and anti-aging interventions for over thirty years. In this capacity he has published more than three hundred articles and research papers.


He has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Sandoz (now Novartis) Prize for Gerontological Research, the Research Award of the American Aging Association, Chairmanship of the Gordon Research Conference on the Biology of Aging, and the Bennett J. Cohen Memorial Lectureship, at the University of Michigan. He is a member and/or fellow and has been an officer of various professional societies including the Gerontological Society of America.


Dr. Roth is also an editor or reviewer for numerous scientific journals and has appeared on many radio and television programs including NBC's Today Show. He has been listed in Who's Who in America, since 1990.
