Derwin Mak lives in Toronto, Canada. He is a chartered accountant, a member of the Royal Canadian Military Institute, and an Officer of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem. He has Master's degrees in accounting (University of Waterloo) and military studies (American Military University). Due to his interest in the relationship between science and religion, he is a member of the Science and Faith Reflection Group at the Newman Centre, University of Toronto.
