David Kennedy McCulloch

Young Adult

David Kennedy McCulloch is a Scot who got marooned in the USA over twenty-five years ago. He lives in the wild, wet, wonderful Pacific Northwest, where he works as a doctor trying to help people who have diabetes.  He was born in Wigtownshire, in the southwest of Scotland, a quiet rural backwater where his father was the village schoolteacher.  He grew up exploring the mountains and islands of the West Highlands of Scotland.

He has written The Diabetes Answer Book, a nonfiction book for people with diabetes, and two murder mysteries for adults: The Slate Creek Bridge Mystery and The Desolation Falls Mystery which are set in the Pacific Northwest, but with a Scottish-American twist.  The Blackhope Scaur Trilogy is the first in a series of scruffy, rude, bad-tempered mystery adventures for pre-teens, teens, young adults, and those who are young at heart.

He lives with his adorable wife Kathryn, has five wonderful kids, and a hairy, affectionate, and constantly hungry Corgi called Kipper.  He spends time on Vashon Island and in Seattle, Washington.  Most of the time he is not scruffy, rude, bad-tempered, or mysterious...
