Ambika Mathur-Kamat

Realizing Elementary school children enjoy learning about countries and cultures prompted Dr. Ambika Mathur-Kamat to write the Miss Panda book series.

A native of India, Mathur-Kamat has lived in Minnesota for the last eighteen years. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa and Bombay University and has a doctorate in microbiology and immunology as well as a masters of science in biochemisry and a bachelors of science in chemistry. She is currently an associate professor of cancer immunology at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Mathur-Kamat is a member of the American Association of Immunology and the Clinical Immunology Society. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and writing and spending time with her husband, Dr. Deepak Kamat, and their twins, Amol and Aarti.
